Weekly Events

Sunday Swing Classes at the Melody Club, Houston: 5:30pm-10:30pm every Sunday. These classes are given by the Houston Swing Dance Society - frequently a group or two of Swing Cats that carpool down (yes, even during the summer!). We leave about 3pm and get back around midnight or so. Email the listserver for more details.

Thursday Swing Dances at the The Fed, Austin: 9pm-Midnight every Thursdays. These daces are put on by the Austin Swing Syndicate - frequently a group or two of Swing Cats that carpool down (yes, even during the summer!). We leave about 6:30 pm and get back around 2:00 am or so. Email the listserver for more details.

The Great Southwest Lindyfest is one of the nation's top swing dance workshops. Bringing in instructors from all over the world, the Houston Swing Dance Society (HSDS) is hosting its 13th annual weekend packed with classes, dances and demonstrations. Lindyfest is open to people who have danced swing socially from three months (beginner-intermediate) to several years (expert).
